What is my position when I paid cash for an auto and I need to secure I get the $ back...I paid for an auto for a boyfriend. I paid cash. He is supposed to pay me monthly. Do I keep the deed to this auto until he has paid me back? Of course, the complication is that we have parted ways.

Though both of you have parted ways, he owes the money to you. So in my opinion, you should keep the deed with you until he pays you back.
