Hello,

I was wondering if I could use $15K in improvements I made on my land. I am still paying on it. Since it is Rural I put in a septic tank, water tank and light Pole. The electric is costing me $7,500. to run in because of how far the lines have to be brought in.
I have been renting the apartment I am in for two years now and and trying to get this land developed.

Hi luvmynative,

You can take a loan to carry out the improvements, provided there's enough equity in the property. If you are looking to get a loan using only the land as your collateral, it will be difficult for you as most of the lenders do not want to offer loans against land. However, you can also look for a personal loan to do the improvements.
