Is it possible to qualify for a VA home loan with bad credit and a federal tax lien on my credit report? Since the loan is guaranteed by the VA against defaut, will a lender issue a mortgage, even with the credit problems?

It is not possible to qualify for a VA loan when you have a federal tax lien mentioned in your credit report. However, if you've paid off the tax lien and if it's mentioned in your credit report, then the lender may consider giving you a loan.
