How much does it cost to add a name to a deed in Maryland?

My fiance and I just brought a house in March of this year the house is in his name only. We want to put my name on the house be for we get married. How much would it be to do it know verses after we get married?

You need to get hold of a quitclaim deed form in order to add your name to the property deed. You can get sample quitclaim deed forms online but it would be better if you could contact an attorney and get the deed drafted from him. The fess of the lawyers for drafting the deed may vary. Apart from this, you may have to pay the recording fees and the stamp doc fees which may vary from state to state. Feel free to ask if you have further queries. Sussane
