My husband and I own a 1958 single wide mobile home on concrete slab with additions on 2 acres of land. We have never had a mortgage on the property. We are wondering what options we have as far as loans. We're thinking of taking down the home and replacing with a newer model could you tell us what our options are. We live in Massachusetts and the property is grandfathered so we can put a new mobile home on the property. It has town water and private septic. Is there any help out there for our situation our credit score is poor at this time.

Hi keeneykerryann,

You can definitely go for a new mobile home. There are various options available to finance the purchase of the mobile home. But given the present market condition, the credit requirements are more strict than before. A minimum of 600-620 scores are now required to qualify for a new home loan. What is your score? is it below 600?
