Hi Scharf,

Dukes, Hampshire, Barnstable, Franklin, Essex, Hampden, Plymouth and Berkshire counties have been declared as federal disaster areas.

Apart from that HUD is trying to provide faster disaster assistance to flood ravaged counties and support those who have been forced out of their homes because of the storms & inland flooding. In addition to it temporary housing & foreclosure protection has been given to those who have been displaced.

U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Alphonso Jackson has said:
Quote:
"Families struggling to recover from this flood should know they're not in this alone," said Jackson.

So there have been major efforts put in to bring things to normal after the flood ravaged lives in these counties.
