If a wife wishes to remove herself from a deed on which she and her husband are named Tenants in the Entirety, 1) must both the husband and wife convey title to the husband only or is the wife the only party who must sign the quitclaim deed, and 2) should the quitclaim deed convey title to the husband in fee simple absolute or some other estate? Thanks

Hi Jedltd,

The wife can sign a quitclaim deed and transfer her share of the property to the husband. Both of them do not have to sign the quitclaim deed. You can convey title to the husband in fee simple absolute. You can contact an attorney and he can help you in drafting the quitclaim deed.

Thanks
