| I bought my house with my daughter being the primary owner putting all the money down...I bought my house with my daughter being the primary owner and putting all the money down. The lawyer asked in front of her do I want her on the deed I said yes of course being she was present. She doesn't pay bills on time. She doesn't pay half. Now she is disrespecting my home, bringing home a man, he is was in my house she was gone to work taking care of my grandaugther. I want to take her off the deed but can I without her signature Massachusettes |

Hi xexiana!
Welcome to forums!
You can definitely refinance the property in your name but in order to remove your daughter's name from the property deed, you would require her signatures. If she signs the quitclaim deed and transfers the property to you, then you can become the sole owner of the property.
Feel free to ask if you have further queries.

xexiana, it would seem you ought to be able to work this out - she has no apparent interest in owning and maintaining the home, so having her transfer ownership to you solely would seem to be a reasonable thing to do. at that time, you could, as sole owner, refinance the existing mortgage (we hope). you could have severe trouble in trying to refinance, however, if payments are not being made. if you really wish to salvage the home, you'll need to make sure that the mortgage is current. _________________ George M.
