mery, i apologize but i have no great answer. i'd suggest you contact your state banking department, to see if they can direct you to a program of any sort (many states have something going on these days). contact your congressman, your senator - anyone who has any sort of legislative standing - and let them know of your situation. i'm surprised you can't get a modification from your mortgage company. oh...contact your local urban league (as local as you are able to find). go on www.fha.gov and search for homeowner counseling or just plain counseling and you'll be able to search that way. i hope this works for you. | |||
