I am interested in purchasing a business that has been seized for back property taxes by the state of michigan. What has to be done, and by whom, to determine if I will receive a good title to the property? Is there a Michigan law section that list the steps invloved?

Hi Fred,

The state of Michigan will arrange a tax sale and you can buy the property at the sale. As far as the law regarding purchase of property in a tax sale is concerned, you will have to contact a Michigan based attorney.

Thanks
