My uncle recently passed away and over a year ago my sister and I signed a quit claim deed, with full rights of survivorship. It is notorized and filed in Michigan. My uncle has one brother still alive. Can you tell me if the articles in the home and on the property go to him? There were no children and his brother was next of kin.

thanks for you advise.

Hi roxi,

As the property was transferred to you and your sister, then both of you can claim the personal articles of your uncle. However, as you've another uncle, it would be better if you could take the opinion of an attorney in this matter.
