My husband and I would like to purchase a home. I will not be part of the mortgage loan because I am still repaying some medical bills from a life saving surgery from before. However, is it possible to not have my name on the mortgage loan but on the deed? We live in Michigan. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Guest,

You can add your name to the property deed. You can ask your husband to sign a quit claim deed and add your name to the property. This will make you a part owner of the property.
