I made a quit claim to my wife 6 years ago. We now have to file a chapter 7 bankrutcy. will the quit claim effect the bankruptcy. We live in Michigan.

Signing of a quit claim deed 6 years ago will not affect your bankruptcy filing in any way. You should contact a bankruptcy attorney and he will help you in deciding which chapter of bankruptcy will be best suited for you.
