One more thing...do I need to go to a lawyer to do this or can I use a form that I downloaded over the internet? I know that it has to be signed in front of a notary but I heard that it needs to be signed in front of witnesses too in order to be valid in my state of Michigan?

Hello- I recommend to go to an attorney. If you're not familiar with the form, that's something you don't want to mess up. It shouldn't cost too much, either. Good luck.
