My question is that my husband and I currently have a loan we are not behind on it. when we got the loan it was because he wanted this house. My name is on the loan first. Now I want to be remove from the loan because I want to buy another house. As it stand right now his mother is in the house and is paying to loan off. How can I get my name off the house? Thanks Debra Joiner, in Michigan

Hi Debra, to remove your self from the loan, the only way is to sell the home, or refinance the home into another owners name. Unfortunately there is nothing else a lender will do. Good luck!

Like Chris said, the only ways are to sell or refinance. Since you want to buy the other house, it makes sense to sell your current one and take the family with you.
