Can a person do it themselves to save money? My husband bought the house before we were married and we want my name on the title in case anything should happen to him.

You can visit the county recorder's office in order to know the cost of the deed. You can download sample quitclaim deed forms and fill it out. However, you'll have to pay the recording fees.
