I was told that the house my mom owns will be taken away in the event of her passing. We are trying to rent it from her and put the money towards the copay at the nursing home she is at. I talked to Social Services in Polk county and they said if we rent the house the copay goes up because it is considered income. I am lost we are moving in there at the end of the month. God forbid she passes they said they will take it. She is in Long Term care now. She had a stroke and can't return home. Please help.

This deed is legal only in Ohio, California, Florida, Texas, and Kansas. If she is on Medicaid, then after her death the property would be taken away in order to recover the payments. _________________ Good is the Enemy of Great.
