My grandmother passed years ago and willed her home to my dad. He has not done anything to claim the property and have it changed over into his name. He lives in Texas and my grandmother's home is in Mississippi. Please help.

Hi ddcoleman,

Your father will have to probate the will in order to claim the property. Once the probate is complete, the will needs to be recorded at the county recorder's office. This will help your father in transferring the property in his name.

Thanks
