Hi Guest,

You can contact the original owner of the property in order to get the property transferred in your name. Apart from that, you can also contact a real estate attorney and check out if he can help you in this matter.

I found a fema cottage mobile home that has been abandoned on a piece of property. It was parked on vacant property in 2006. Not set up or ever lived in. No one ever came back for it. Went to the county clerk to find out who owns the property and they have no record of ownership for the land. How can I get this mobile home moved on my property which is about 2 miles away from where it is parked? The neighbors don't know who owns the property or the mobile home.

Hi Martha,

I will suggest you to contact a real estate attorney and take his opinion in dealing with this matter. He will better guide you in this regard.

Hi joe,

You should contact the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and check out if they can provide you with a copy of the duplicate title for the mobile home.

Hi steff,

Well, it will be quite difficult for you to get a title for that mobile home now. Nevertheless, you should contact the DMV and a real estate attorney and take their opinion in this matter.

Hi donnajaz!

Welcome to forums!

You will have to contact the lender and get a lien release certificate. If your mother has left a will, then it needs to be probated in order to get the property transferred in your names. Then you all can sign a quitclaim deed and transfer the property to your sister.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

my grandmother is trying to buy a mobile home from a woman in louisiana. the woman that owns it now was going through a divorce when she got it. the owner before the lady going through a divorce let her do a lease to own. when she paid the final payment he sent her a letter stating she had paid in full. however she never got with the man to do the title. my grandmother is wanting a title before she buys the trailer how does the woman go about getting a title if she cannont get ahold of the owner that allowed her to do a lease to own.

Welcome brianna,

Unless the woman get holds of her husband and gets the deed transferred in her name, she won't become the sole owner of the property. Unless she becomes the sole owner of the property, she won't be able to sell off the property to your grandmother.
