Hi Mary,

Getting a loan against your mobile home is not easy as most of the lenders have have stopped offering loans against old mobile homes. There are a few lenders who may still offer you a loan using the mobile home as collateral. There are lenders in this community with whom you may go for a no-obligation free mortgage consultation. They will check your eligibility for the loan. If you qualify, they will offer you free mortgage quotes.

However, in case you have difficulty in getting a loan against your mobile home, you may try getting a personal loan of $5k. The interest rate on such a loan would be a bit high. But qualifying for it would not be too difficult, if your credit is good.
