putting a home on parents land

My husband and I were given permission to live on his family land, their is no existing site, are their ways to get a double wide and land improvement cost financed together without the land being in our name?

If the land is in your name, you should be able to get a loan to buy the double wide home and improve the land. I think an FHA Title I home loan will suit your requirements. You will not need two different loans to purchase the home and to improve the land. Through Title I loans, you can cover both the costs.
