i just went through a divorce and want to buy a mobile home. My ex is trying to refinance the house but not be able to. We both have 700+ credit score. Am i able to get a mortgage when he still has our house with name on the loan.?

Hi jasy,

You can get a mortgage to buy a new mobile home. Your credit score is quite good. However, till the time your ex is able to refinance the loan you will remain responsible for the loan and it can affect your debt to income (DTI) ratio. But given you have good income to afford the payments on the new mortgage, you should not have much problem in qualifying for the loan.
