Welcome to Mortgage fit,
Answer to your question lies in your question itself.Basically you and your husband are not the true owner, rather his parents are.So if you can not own anything where is the question comes about transferring it.
If you are not owner (either partial) of the property,how can your transfer your share to your husband.? So, as far as transferring the property to your husband is concerned, he need to file an affidavit of heir-ship.
