I took out a loan with FTR processing, which is a sub company of platinumb and SJM on 4/30 this year for $150. I have been paying the finance charges directly from my account every 2 weeks as agreed upon in the original documents they sent me. Once I chose to pay off the full loan ($150 +the bi-weekly $45 finance charge, so $195), I called the 1-866-722-2770 number and hit "0". I informed the company 3 days prior to the next scheduled charge date (again, as agreed upon), and told them I wanted to pay off the full amount. The man I spoke with (John) was incredibly polite, and handled my questions in a professional manner. The loan has since been paid off fully, and I've received no calls, or bad charges on my account.

I know sometimes these companies can be shady (or just seem shady) but often, if you address the issue with tact, and ask every question you have in a detailed and polite way, you'll find that you achieve excellent results. It's not always the case, of course, but try to remember that some of these people are legitimate workers just like you, and if you treat them with respect, they often work with you to resolve your issue. Flame away if you want, but I've had issues with bad companies in the past too. Tbh, I came here to find the number for SJM because the platinumb number wasn't working, and after solving all of my stuff, I wanted to tell people that they HAVE, at least sometimes, dealt with people legitimately.

Your personal information is important, it's your life. Be careful who you share it with, and make sure if you take on any type of loan/credit/etc that you receive ALL documentation supporting it and save it, so that if all else fails, you have it to fall back on.

Hello.

It is nice to hear that you get some good services from this company Smile but why would I need to be polite? Don't you think they should also need to be polite? They are breaking the rules and harassing the people. Do you think this is good?

Hi Johnny!

Being polite always helps isn't it? Its not at all good that they are harassing people but you should always be tactful with them.

Thanks,

Jerry

I've been trying to contact the company, but no success. What can be done about this compamy? I've recently been a victim of ID fruad. Could these people be th crooks?

Hi Barbara!

Did you try contacting them with this number - 0800 197 88 10? If they are not talking to you over the phone, you can personally meet their agent and speak to him/her about the issue. If still they are not speaking, you can ask your legal adviser to speak with them.

Thanks,

Jerry

It will be better if you could contact them personally and ask them why they have done so. Speak to their executive personally and deal with the person tactfully. If they do not give you a satisfactory answer ask your lawyer to speak to them.

Hi Hector!

Welcome to Forums!

It is unfortunate that they have debited your account twice. But it will be better if you could contact the authorities personally. Deal with them tactfully and politely ask them why they done that. In case they are unable to give you a proper answer, you can even take some legal advice.

Feel free to ask if you have further queries.

Who is the recipient of the information provided in the message body. That way I will know what to ask. I'm seeing small amounts of moneys being taken. I don't want to get a new account number because there are other deductions being taken out of my check.
