The loan modification companies should be registered with the Nevada Division of Consumer Affairs and post a $100,000 bond to insure their activities. The lenders cannot charge an advance fee for negotiating with lenders on behalf of borrowers. This rule has been formulated by The Nevada Division of Mortgage Lending. However, the licensed attorneys of Nevada are exempt from these requirements.
