my sister & i bought a home with her listed as a non-occupied co borrower. i filed for chapter 7 bk & didn't have to include the home because of her credit. can she quit claim deed the home to myself so that her credit want be affected if at all, or do i have to qualify for the loan, off of my on income first in order for her to quit claim deed the home to me. i am stressing!! please someone help.. i am trying not to mess up my sisters credit, she has a high ranking position in the law enforcement sector and credit is a part of the job conditions. can she just quitclaim deed the home to me without me going through the credit approval process? i live in LAS VEGAS,NEVADA, COUNTY OF CLARK

Hi WHYBCUZZ,

You sister can sign a quitclaim deed and transfer the property to you. This will make you the sole owner of the property. If your sister's name is not mentioned on the mortgage docs, then she doesn't have to worry about the credit issues.

Thanks
