marym324 Guest	Posted: Sun Jul 04, 2010 5:23 am    Post subject: can you reaffirm a home mortgage in NJ? Like 0 Dislike 0 I filed Chap. 7 last year and I did not want to include my home. I tried working with Citimortgage to work with lowering interest rate or refinancing, they said I can't because I did not reaffirm my loan. My attorney advised they don't reaffirm home mortgages in NJ. Is that true? _________________ Need help choosing the right loan? Get free consultation from community lenders/consultant

If you are still in your bankruptcy, then you can contact your lender and reaffirm the debt. Then you can apply for a mortgage refinance and take advantage of the low interest rates. Thanks
