Low credit score and mortgage

Posted on: 11th Dec, 2012 09:00 am
Hello I have a current credit score of 530 due to being late on all my bills except for my car and rent. I was late in September, October, November. I am now current on all my bills and my credit reports are showing this. I was late due to changing jobs. My question is I need to buy the house that I am currently renting by June 2013. I am going for the USDA home loan due to no down payment and I live in a rural community in North Carolina. What are my options if any and what is the possiblity of purchasing the house by June 2013? The purchase price is $65,000 but is worth $95,000 due to the 3 acres of land that comes with it. Any help would be great, thank you.
Hi thedaley,

Though you are looking for a USDA loan, you will require a credit score of around 620-640. So, you should take steps in order to improve your score and then apply for loans.
