My uncle died in north carolina without a will. He was a dear uncle to me and I also paid for his burial. I have been taking care of the property, however I can not file it on my taxes. How can I get this poperty transfered to my name? This property is costing me a lots of money.

Welcome linda,

If there are no other heirs to the property, then you can file an affidavit of heirship at the county recorder's office and get the property transferred in your name.
