im a wife in Ohio and I want to know how to sign off on my dower rights? Im not on the loans. The mortagae company started foreclosure proceddings and they just sent us the modification papers. they dont stop the foreclosure proceddings when you are in the modification process.

As your name is not on the mortgage, the foreclosure process will not affect your credit score or your credit report. You don't have to sign away your dower rights because of this foreclosure. Also, if your lender is considering a loan modification, then he won't foreclose the property. The lender will only foreclose the property if your request for modification has been rejected.

Is there a form that a person with dower right could sign and release dower right before loan closing?

Well... I don't think such a form is available online. However, you can contact an attorney and he may draft such a form for your benefit.
