I bought a boarded up house, the certificate of occupancy was ready to expire. All the work I had to do to get a new certificate was work that was suppose to be done years ago. did all the remodeling. I rented the house to a gentleman who did the work in exchange for rent. Owner new this. At one time she even put a client of hers from a mental health agency in there because he had SSI and a payee. He left I was stuck with no money for months. Now she wants the property back due to missed payments. I have paid over 20% of the property price. She gave my tenants a eviction notice and told them not to pay me that they need to pay her. Nor did she record the transaction of my purchase of the property. Can she do all of this I thought in Ohio there is a stiputlation about paying 20% of the price of the house it had to be treated as a foreclosure. She gave me a 3 day eviction notice that is all the day before thanksgiving.

Hi lmr,

I can understand what you're going through. I will suggest you to contact an attorney and take his opinion in this matter. He will know the laws of your state better and will help you know what actions you can take in order to retain the property.

Thanks,

Jerry
