My mother owned the house that my husband and I currently live in. My mother quick cliamed the deed in order to remove my husband name from the deed shortly after the closing of our home. My husbands name was needed for morgage purposes. The deed then read my mother name TOD to me. My mother passed away six years. My question is if my husband and I divorce - what is right to any monies from the sale of the home.

Hi Quest!

Welcome to forums!

If your husband's name is not mentioned on the property deed, then he won't be able to claim anything from the sale proceeds.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
