In Ohio, Franklin County, is there a grace period or waiting period
before the Quit Claim Deed become effective? I heard there is a
5 year grace period before it becomes affective? Is this correct?

Hi Annie,

As far as I know, once the quit claim deed is signed and recorded at the county recorder's office, it becomes valid and effective. I haven't heard of any grace period regarding quit claim deed. You may contact an Ohio based real estate attorney in order to know whether or not any such law prevails in the state.

Thanks
