Hi Michaelheller!

Welcome to forums!

If you're current in your mortgage payments, no lender will come after you irrespective of which state you live in. However, if you're delinquent in your mortgage payments, then the lender can foreclose your property. The Oregon state laws allow the lender to come after you for the deficient balance. However, Oregon state laws also allows the borrower with a redemption period within which the borrower can pay off all the dues and claim the property.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
