Hi Annette
Welcome to MortgageFit forum.
I know what it feels when somebody has poor credit. I have been through this situation once and believe me there is always a way out. I know sometimes we cannot avoid those situations which often lead to the burden of huge credit.
Just because your credit report is poor, it doesn't mean that you won't be able to get any credit or loan. Lenders and creditors set their own credit-granting standards and not all of them look at your credit history. Infact many of them may consider your payments in more recent years to evaluate you for credit.
If we can work it out for you, most likely you can do it yourself. If you are not good at planning your budget then talk to your creditor or lender and plan out a suitable budget for yourself. No doubt a good credit score is the main factor in the mortgage industry. But there are many lenders who specilize in bad credit loans also and that too with considerably low interest rates.
Our community has always tried to make people stress-free and help them in the best possible way. Our Community has some lenders who offer mortgage loans with reasonable rates to people having poor credit. So don't lose heart; just try to follow a tight budget so that you can get rid off debts and apply for loans in future.
Hope we have been able to guide you.

Hi Annette,
Good credit can give you better rate and easy payment options but not all doors are closed for one with poor credits. Now a days anyone can have varied options with poor credit as well.
I agree with Caron, you don't have to worry too much about getting loans or any other issues even when you have poor credit. Being a little careful can improve your credit score.
Thanks

Hi,
I continue where sam has left his comments on poor credit, now a days you dont have to worry about getting a loan if you have poor credit. There are many lenders in the industry who specilizes in loan to the poor credit only and thats to on easy down payments and resonable interest rates.
For improving the poor credit we need to plan out our budget and try to figure out where the planning went wrong. Little bit of smart effort can do lots good to the poor credit. So Jadcm for a loan just contact your local lender and I am sure you will get the best option as per your suitablity.
Thanks

| I have a home with about 55,000 in equity. I have a chapter 13, but my husband does not. I have check credit and my scores area actually better than his. We are trying to dig out of medical bills, job layoff (2 in the last 18 months) and general bad luck. Any help? If I could just get my payments lowered, and pay off other bills, (the 55 would pay off the bankruptcy) i can make it! |

Hi Cathy,
Don't worry. You will certainly come out of the situation with your efforts which you are already giving. Try to cut down payments and pay off your debts gradually.
I am sure you will drive out of this problem.
Sincerely wishing you good luck.
Regards,
Peter |

Hi Cathy,
Welcome to MortgageFit Forums.
I feel from my heart that you will recover from these troubles soon. We are behind you to extend all possible help. You are brave enough to put forward your misery and with this courage only, you will come out of the situation.
I would like to know what sort of help exactly you expect from us.
I shall suggest you from whatever I understood from your query is that, under this circumstances you should consult a debt consolidation company who can consolidate your debts under one head, negotiate with the creditors and try and bring down the rates.
I hope you will get benefit from them. Feel free to ask any more queries you have. I shall be happy on behalf of our community to help you and give you full support.
God bless you.

Have you tried to fix your credit? Most people have the misconception that hiring a lawyer to repair your credit can be very costly. I have seen first hand what a good credit repair agency can do to repair credit. One of the best agencies I have experience with is Lexington Law. They have a FULL staff of real lawyers that will work on your credit file and remove many negative remarks. Belive it or not...it's $79 signup and $39 a month. Use them for a couple of months and you will see immediate results. They also have a money back gaurantee. I love these guys.. you can't go wrong. you can find them here: "http://www.creditrepair.lendgo.com/"
You should also check your credit report regularly..There are a number of sites on the internet that will give you unlimitted access to your credit report for a nominal monthly fee...usually $7-$10 a month. You can find a list of a couple really good one here: "http://freecreditreport.lendgo.com/" Each one gives you the first month free and you can cancel whenever you want. If you want to simply check your credit simply signup and cancel within 30 days. Just don't mention my name.
Good luck
