I am refinancing my home in Austin Texas. Do I have to be physically present under Texas law in order to close the loan process? or can I use couriers to transmit necessary documents?

There is no law which requires you to be physically present. Otherwise, it depends on your lender. Most lenders will allow you to do it by mail or Fedex.
