Like 0 Dislike 0 My husband and I have owned our home for 16 years. We are getting a divorce. When I go to purchase my own home, will I be considered a first time buyer?

If your name mentioned on deed while you both purchasing home. Then you can't qualify for First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit.If purchaser has not owe any property from last 3 years, then he will be qualify for First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit.
