Has anyone had a committment expire with no communication from the lender? We have committment on an FHA loan (conditions met and cleared) and have been waiting forever for a closing date. Our calls and (supposedly) our broker's calls are being ignored by the lender. What happens when the committment letter expires (coming up soon)????

first thing mom is to not let it expire - contact everyone you can think of to find out what's wrong. if you have an attorney representing you then get the attorney involved on your behalf also.

your broker needs to be much more proactive here also, i'm sure. it shouldn't be a big deal for the lender to ultimately extend the commitment unless something unusual has come up.
