huizhongjin Joined: 13 Oct 2009 Posts: 2 1.55 Dollars($)	Posted: Tue Oct 13, 2009 10:36 am    Post subject: mortgage after divorce Like 0 Dislike 0 my husband and i own a house with both of our names on the deed, but it is only his name on the mortgage. we are getting a divorce now, and i am going to take my name off the deed so he will have sole ownership of the house. my questions are, whether the quitclaim deed is the only document i need to sign, and i don't need to worry about the mortgage since my name has never been on it? thank you.
