Hello, my mother passed 6 years ago and willed her house to me. My husband and I finally sold it and bought our first house. When we sold my mothers' house he was not needed for anything, seeing as though he had no claim to that house. We just bought our 'first house' and I know that I'm not eligible for that tax credit, even though I have technically not bought a house. I'm wondering though if my husband is eligible for partial/full credit, since this is his first house to buy. Thank you for your help.

Nope

If you are your husbdna had your name on any property in the last 3 years, then you will not eligible for any tax credit
