hi, I am married and I am in a very bad credit card debt situation and soon will have to default on some of the loans. These credit cards are all in my name only. I am afraid that eventually they will try and take my assets, my house in particular, and want to remove my name from the deed, which currently has mine and my husbands name on it. Will a quit claim deed accomplish this and will it guarantee once I remove my name that credit cards companies cannot go after our house for payment?
