Sir,
I am asking the question for one of my relative Mrs. Rama Mittal.

Mrs. Raman Mittal is an adopted lady (without any written document) by her birth. (Sat Parkash JIndal & Kaushala Rani adopted Raman from Kaushlya Rani's younger sister.) All the education certificates of the Raman Mittal have the Father's Name as Sat Parkash Jindal.
Now, Sat Parkash has died. He left his ancestral property without writing a will. After his death, the property transferred in the names Kaushalya Rani (aged 83 years) & Mr. Raman Mittal jointly (as they are the only legal heirs of Sat Parkash's Property).

Now, Kaushalya Rani's real brother filed a case in the court by saying that he was adopted by Sat Parkash and Kaushlya Rani at the age of 14. Truth is that he is only leaving in the house as a licencee. He also mentioned that a family settlement was held between Sat Parkash and him in which Sat Parkash has made him the owner of the ground floor orally in witness of two people. He wants to grab the property. He also denies Raman Mittal as a daughter of Sat Parkash. Please give the advise according to the Indian Law, so that the case may be solved

gregg, i don't know how you can say that this is "for US people." the internet is international in scale, and we've fielded questions from people overseas on many occasions. that doesn't mean that we can answer all those questions, but it's rather short-sighted to think that we can try to shut our borders online so that only americans can get answers to their questions.

i agree that the poster needs to discuss the legalities with a local attorney, but that's all that needed to be said there.
