can a lender foreclose on a property with 2 liens on it?

How will a lien on property affect this process going forward? Can it stop the modification process? Can lender foreclose on property because of lien?
gmakerley Community Mentor Joined: 09 Nov 2007 Posts: 12357 Location: bloomfield, ct 55.04 Dollars($)	Posted: Fri Oct 30, 2009 2:11 pm    Post subject: Like 0 Dislike 0 since any liens filed will be subordinate to the loan being modified, i don't think your lender is going to go jumping into court to begin a foreclosure action. could they? sure, why not? why is really the question, though. there's no real need, it would seem. hopefully, they'll work out an arrangement for you, and the lien will settle into a junior position on title and all will wait for you to finish paying off everything, either when you sell the home or when you are able to pay everything off. _________________ George M.
