You need to provide more info. Are you the buyer, the seller? Short sales are approved by the lender who holds the mortgage and needs to be approved by them. I suggest a realtor to help you throught this or an attorney it's not so cut and dry, especially if you are the seller.

guest you need to speak specifically to the loss prevention team at your lender, or loan mitigation (whatever name they use).
