This was due to divorce. When will I be able to buy a home again? Also, when the home went into foreclosure I was not living there, but the x-husband was. The "X" was suppose to refinance the home in his name. He moved in the home and I moved out and the "X" NEVER made a mortgage payment. The "X" lived in the home without paying a dime for 6 months. I learned about the foreclosure when they sent a letter to me via courier service,

After 3-4 years have passed since your foreclosure, you will be able to qualify for a mortgage to buy a new home. However, you will have to improve your credit score in the meantime in order to qualify for a mortgage. Feel free to ask if you've further queries. Sussane
