My home was written off by the mortgage company about a year ago. Can they request that I leave the property?

Can the mortgage company try to collect the debt that they wrote off?

Hi angelamarchmon,

If the lender has charged off the account and has written off the debt, then they won't come after you in order to recover the debt. If they have sold off the debt to a collection agency (CA), then the CA will come after you for the debt.
