i surrendered my home on chapter 7. i was discharged in 2010. now whats going to happen to 2011 taxes? is the mortgage bank going to send me anything?

Hi wendygreenie,

If you've surrendered the property and the lender has sold off the property and forgiven the deficient balance, then you may receive a 1099c form. You may have to pay taxes for the forgiven deficient balance.
