Hi , I filed chapter 7 bankruptcy and I have 2 mortgages. The first mortgage was included in the bankruptcy and the 2nd mortgage wasn't. I just looked at my credit report and it shows my first mortgage as discharged, and they are no longer reporting it. The second mortgage they are reporting and showing good standing credit. I still live in my house, does that mean I don't have to pay my first mortgage since the debt was wiped out?

Hi luvrangels,

As you've included the first mortgage in your bankruptcy filing and got a discharge from it, you're not personally liable for the mortgage payments.

Thanks
