My husband left myself and our children. He signed a Quick Deed in March and now the State tax Commission is sending a Notice of Tax Due and Intent to Lien. Will they be able to find that he has a home and put a lien on the home. He also has many other bills. Since we are not divorce how will this affect me?

Hi Guest,

If the property taxes are not paid on time, then the State tax commission has the rights to place a lien on the property. However, in order to do so, they may have to get a judgment from the court house.
