Long story short my girlfriend of 3 years cut things off a couple of weeks ago, and now I am at the point where I am trying to move on with my life. The separation was mutual.

Anyhow I am in the market to buy a brand new home in my area here in Florida. My credit rating is in the low to mid 700's and I make around 45k gross income. The question I have is my ex. girlfriend and I had a joint bank account together, and I know the lending company is going to want to see bank statements which is fine, but I am not sure if they will question her name being listed on the account. We just got around to changing the bank account into just my name only on 08/20/2011. So the past statements have her name and her direct deposit in the account with mine.

I just want to make sure it wont be an issue since she will not be on the home loan since we are no longer together.

Thanks.

The joint account won't be an issue if you explain the matter to your lender in details. Also, you should inform the lender that you have already taken steps to remove her name from the joint account. This will make things easier for you.
